Biography
Dr. Tegli is a physician, a public health practitioner, and a researcher with adept knowledge in infectious disease control and prevention and health systems strengthening. Dr. Tegli has worked in clinical and preventive health care services both in rural and urban health care facilities providing curative and preventive services. Presently, Dr. Tegli serves as a partner-time lecturer at the UL MPH program where he teaches Introduction to Public Health Laboratory and Environmental Health, respectively. He works full-time at the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) as the Technical Lead to the Director-General's Office. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Dr. Tegli served as infectious disease consultant and clinician for the National COVD-19 response under the case management pillar. He obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Zhengzhou University in China and a Master of Science degree in Infectious Diseases, from the University of Kent, in the UK. He is the founder and Director of ProHealth Consortium; a local, non-profit organization which main aim is to strengthen healthcare systems and provide quality and sustainable health services to all.
